WEB DESIGN
Whether you are a small, medium sized company, non-profit organization,
or individual want to reach beyond your limits, I will develop a
high quality Internet presence for you in the most effective manner.
The
information presented must be expressive, easily retrievable, user
friendly, and above all pleasing to your customers. Nothing works
like the first impression. No doubt a web site is your corporate
identity on the worldwide web, it is imperative that the impression
you are demonstrating holds the visitor's attention and brings them
back for more.
All sites
are designed with the right mix to assist you in meeting your goals
while maintaining ease of navigation, cross browser compatibility
and optimization for quick loading.
When you contract my web services, you become a partner in the process
of web site development, rather than just a customer. You will be
fully involved in all aspects of your project, ensuring that all
the important details are covered.
DEVELOPMENT
PROCESS
Outlined below is my web services development process, created to
help you plan your web project. This process offers both creative
flexibility and administrative control to ensure that all of your
needs are met. I want you to have a full understanding of how your
project will progress through its various stages, from inception
to completion. A structured plan is essential in order to keep costs
at a minimum and productivity at a maximum.
Stage #1 - Contact Me
Contact by phone, email, or use my online form. Should you contact
me via the Internet please allow up to 72 hours for a response.
During our first conversation, I will want to take a few minutes
and learn about you and your business. Next, I will need to establish
what your requirements are. Finally, I'll schedule our Initial Consultation.
Stage
#2 - Initial Consultation
I will meet with you and discuss your project needs, scope and budget.
In addition, I will answer any questions you may have. With your
approval I will then move on to the next stage.
Stage
#3 - Proposal Development
Following the Initial Consultation, I will prepare a proposal. This
stage includes designing a mock-up and layout of your web site,
development of the project timeline, and preparation of an affordable
quote. When my proposal is complete, I will then contact you to
set up a formal presentation.
Stage
#4 - Presentation
All parts of my proposal - design, timeline and cost - will be discussed.
I would like as much feedback on the proposal as possible. Additional
meetings may be necessary to make sure our proposal fully meets
your needs.
Stage
#5 - Contract
Following your acceptance of the project, we will draw up a formal
contract for both parties to sign. We will discuss the contract
with you and amend it, if necessary, prior to signing. Upon your
acceptance of the contract a 30% deposit of the total contract cost
is requested.
Stage
#6 - Development
Development is the longest and most important stage of the process.
Constant contact with you is essential. I will provide you with
periodic updates on the progress of your site. If it is determined
that additional services are needed outside of the contract, I will
discuss these with you and provide a quote for the cost of those
services. My goal is to never leave a client unsatisfied.
Stage
#7 - Testing and Approval
Your web site will be tested against the criteria of the contract
and also for functionality. I will then submit the web site to you
for approval. Once the site is approved, I will move on to our final
stage.
Stage
#8 - Deployment
I will launch your site and perform any other service that you would
like, for example, search engine listing. The communication channels
will always remain open between me and you.
BASICS OF SITE PROMOTION
Get Listed - Most Internet users find the sites
that they are looking for through the use of search engines or directories.
So to help users find your site, you should try to get it listed
in search engines.
Tell Everyone - "Word of mouth" can never
be overrated, especially on the Internet. Tell friends, family,
anyone and everyone about your site.
Add Links - A very
common way for Internet users to find a site is by following links
from another page. By having other sites link to yours, you will
undoubtedly increase traffic to your site. Sites will be more likely
to link to you if you offer quality content and you also link to
related sites.
